Terry co-owned and operated a mixed apple and stonefruit orchard in Hawke’s Bay during the 1990s and has maintained a strong interest in the horticultural industry. He has now retired from a career in administration and management in the public sector during which he gained qualifications in industrial relations and mediation. Terry started with WAI at the beginning of 2016 doing the pre-season testing of apple coolstores which use the SMARTFRESH apple storage process.
